This article analyzes the experiences of developed countries in the management of innovation activities in higher education institutions. Innovations are important in modernizing the higher education system, promoting research, and promoting economic development. The article examines the importance of public policy in the implementation of innovation activities in higher education institutions, ensuring the practical application of academic research, building cooperation and community, and attracting students, professors and teachers to innovation. It also analyzes the experiences gained from innovative activity management models in higher education institutions in developed countries, in particular the United States, Germany, Japan and Singapore, and the benefits of introducing them in a national context. The article explores the areas of effective management of the innovation activities of higher education institutions, the mechanisms of their institutional support, as well as the problems of cooperation of universities and industry.
