This article examines the effectiveness of the communicative approach in teaching English at secondary schools. The communicative approach (Communicative Language Teaching – CLT) is compared with traditional methods, highlighting its impact on students’ speaking competence and motivation. The findings show that CLT significantly improves learners’ ability to use English in real-life contexts and increases their interest in language learning.
