Qandli diabet aholi orasida tobora ko‘payib bormoqda. Kasallikni davolash uchun insulinga bo‘lgan talab ham ortmoqda. Biotexnologiya sohasi buni bartaraf etib ko‘p va sifatli insulin ishlab chiqishga erishdi. Qondagi glyukoza miqdorini aniqlab nazorat qilish uchun biosensorlardan foydalanamiz.
