THE GREEN ECONOMY IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This paper analyzes the current state of the green economy in Uzbekistan, examines initiatives aimed at environmental sustainability, and identifies prospects and challenges for further implementation of sustainable practices in the country's economy.  The green economy in Uzbekistan is a concept aimed at sustainable development, reducing environmental risks and improving energy efficiency while maintaining economic growth. In recent years, the country has been actively taking measures to integrate the principles of the green economy into its strategy. The inclusion of renewable energy sources, the improvement of the environmental situation, the management of natural resources and the development of "clean" technologies are becoming important components of Uzbekistan's economic policy.Within the framework of the "Green Economy", priority areas such as reducing carbon dioxide emissions, rational use of water and land resources, the development of environmentally friendly transport and the promotion of green investments are being considered. Special attention is paid to supporting agriculture, efficient use of water resources in an arid climate, and expanding waste recycling.Uzbekistan is actively cooperating with international organizations to implement projects aimed at protecting the environment, as well as introducing new forms of economic regulation to stimulate green business. In the future, the country aims to become a leader in Central Asia in the field of sustainable development and green technologies.
