Abstract

This study explores the role of social networking platforms in enhancing the writing skills of adult learners in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts. With the growing integration of digital technologies in education, platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, and blogs have become increasingly relevant in promoting authentic language use. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys and classroom experiments with adult EFL learners. Findings indicate that social networking platforms significantly contribute to learners’ writing proficiency by providing opportunities for authentic communication, collaborative feedback, and increased motivation. However, challenges such as informal language use and digital literacy gaps remain.
