Alsgeymer kasalligi (AGK) – bu asab tizimining degenerativ kasalligi bo‘lib, eng keng tarqalgan demensiya turi hisoblanadi. Uning molekulyar mexanizmlari hali to‘liq tushunilmagan bo‘lsa-da, turli molekulyar jarayonlar kasallikning rivojlanishida muhim rol o‘ynaydi. Ushbu tezisda Alsgeymer kasalligining asosiy molekulyar mexanizmlari, shu jumladan, amiloid plakalari, tau oqsillari va boshqa patofiziologik jarayonlar haqida so‘z yuritiladi.
