This article explores the formation of emotional control in adolescence and its individual psychological characteristics. The study analyzed the correlations between adolescent levels of emotional control, personal typology, emotional intelligence, and self-assessment. The results of the study, carried out on the basis of statistical and psychodiagnostic methods, showed that high levels of emotional control have a positive effect on the social adaptation and mental stability of adolescents. The article also put forward practical proposals aimed at developing these features.
