Atmosfera havosining ifloslanishi sanoat korxonalari ishlab chiqarish jarayonida duch keladigan asosiy muammodir. Ushbu ifloslanishni nazorat qilish atrof - muhit va tirik organizmlar uchun juda muhim, chunki u zararli ta'sirlarni keltirib chiqaradi. Suv tirik organizmlarda, shuningdek, maishiy va sanoat faoliyatida asosiy erituvchi ekanligini hisobga olsak, zararsiz suv sifatini olish uchun uni bir necha marta ishlatishdan keyin imkon boricha ehtiyotkorlik bilan davolash kerak. Keraksiz moddalarni (masalan, organik moddalar, sirt faol moddalar, neft mahsulotlari, keraksiz metallar, bo‘yoqlar va boshqalar) olib tashlash uchun umumiy usul sifatida suvni fizik - kimyoviy tozalash jarayoni qo‘llaniladi.
