Hozirgi kunda iqlim o‘zgarishi global muammolardan biri bo‘lib, uning salbiy oqibatlari inson hayoti, ekotizimlar va iqtisodiyotga jiddiy ta’sir ko‘rsatmoqda. Ushbu muammoni hal qilish uchun zamonaviy fan va texnologiyalar, xususan, biotexnologiya muhim ahamiyat kasb etmoqda. Biotexnologik yondashuvlar orqali atmosfera ifloslanishini kamaytirish, bioyoqilg‘i ishlab chiqarish, uglerod chiqindilarini zararsizlantirish, ekologik toza qishloq xo‘jaligini rivojlantirish va genetik modifikatsiyalangan o’simliklar yordamida atrof-muhit barqarorligini ta’minlash mumkin. Uglerod chiqindilarining keskin ko‘payishi global isishning asosiy omillaridan biri hisoblanadi. Zamonaviy biotexnologik usullar, jumladan, bioplastmassa va genetik modifikatsiyalangan ekinlar yordamida uglerod neytralligida erishish mumkin. Ushbu tezisda iqlim o‘zgarishiga qarshi kurashda biotexnologik innovatsiyalarning dolzarbligi, afzalliklari va istiqbollari tahlil qilinadi.
