This article is devoted to the role of Independent Education in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in higher educational institutions and its importance in the development of professional competencies. During the study, the main performance indicators of Independent Education were analyzed based on surveys, interviews and observations among students. According to the results, independent education leads to positive changes such as increasing personal responsibility, developing creative thinking, ensuring effective use of time. The article compared existing experiences in the educational system of Uzbekistan with international approaches and developed practical recommendations for improving Independent Education. It is also stressed that the need to introduce digital tools and mentoring programs to effectively organize independent education. The results of this research are aimed at developing new strategies for improving the quality of education and effective training of scientific and pedagogical personnel. The article can be useful for education professionals, educators and scientific researchers.
